5th Jan Jobroll

Two companies appear to be on a recruitment drive this week: Akzo Nobel in Slough, for their Decorative Paints division; and Mylan Global Respiratory Group in Kent.

Akzo Nobel:

Research and Development Graduate (£25.5-27.5k) - joining their graduate programme, which includes 2-3 years gaining experience in at least two technical teams. 2:1 required; PhD, second European language and work experience desirable but not essential.

Supply Chain/Manufacturing & Operations Graduate (£25.5-27.5k) – graduate programme with rotational placements in areas such as procurement, planning, manufacturing, engineering and logistics. Asks for a 2:1 in an engineering subject, but chemistry will be considered.

Project Leader – working in the Fresco paint team to deliver projects and deploy resources. 2:1 with some relevant industrial and project management experience.

Mylan:

The LinkedIn Jobs function has proved its worth this week – as a single advert for Mylan led to the discovery that they’re recruiting for a massive 17 roles at their new location in Sandwich. I’m dubious as to whether the LinkedIn links will work, so best go there and search their jobs section for Mylan. Here’s a flavour of what’s on offer:

Analytical Scientist – pharmaceutical analysis for inhalation products. Experienced user of HPLC/UPLC for API/drug product testing.

Formulation and Process Scientist – develop the formulation and manufacturing process of inhaled dosage forms; support GMP manufacture of clinical supplies. Relevant industrial experience required.

Manufacturing Scientist – assist in production of development and clinical batches, including drug product processes. Relevant industrial (cGMP) experience.

Further positions include team leaders, heads of departments, and functions including CMC, Validation, Devices, Engineering and Clinical Pharmacology.
